UHWE 2019 AGM

Greetings members and onlookers all! What a fantastic year it has been for our little club. Our training days, clinics and fun days have been a great success with even our most tentative and newest riders expanding their skillset and confidence – and many of our ladies, experienced and beginners, bringing home competition ribbons from both WEDU and ANWE comps alike – including at Nationals with both affiliations! Fantastic!! We’ve become a very competitive little club and slowly but surely we’ve managed, through sheer determination and commitment, to muster up a fulsome set of our own obstacles and now at the pinnacle of the year – hosting our own closed comp – how fabulous!

We look with bright eyes and determined hearts to another exciting and hopefully even more fulsome year ahead!

Our upcoming AGM will be held on TUESDAY, JULY 23 (not Thursday for this one) at the Denman Bowling Club at 6.30pm. We would love all members and even prospective members to come along and be a part of it!

Memberships are now open on Trybooking for renewal / registration.

Remember its our members that are the heart of the club and keep it alive; we need each and every one of you – as much as we all need each other other – to keep our good times rolling! Without every one of you, and everyone taking part in some small way, we couldn’t have become what we are today.

So come along and have a meal, have a listen and be a part of the future of this great little club. All positions are re-opened, so if you’d like to have a crack – you are most welcome, encouraged and any and all assistance offered to our little club is most appreciated. You don’t need skills, just a willing heart and a great attitude! We can teach you the rest!

UHWEC 2018 AGM

The Upper Hunter Working Equitation Club’s AGM will be held at 6.30pm on Thursday July 26th 2018, at the Denman Bowling Club. Not the change of venue! All Office Bearer and Committee positions for 2018 will be opened for re-election at this meeting. With eleven positions open, all members are encouraged to attend!

Do ensure that your 2018 Club Membership is current/renewed before the AGM, particularly if you wish to stand for election, elect another member for a position and vote!

2018 First General Meeting

The first General Meeting of UHWE for 2018 will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018
At the Denman Hotel at 6.30pm.

UHWEC First Club Fun Day

Our very first Upper Hunter Working Equitation Club meet was a fabulously fun and informative day, enjoyed thoroughly by all as we acquainted ourselves with the working equitation obstacle course, as well as each other and each other’s horses! “Getting to know you… Getting to know all about you…!” That about sums it up! The weather was kind and the turn-out was great with thirteen of our already enlisted members rocking up to have a crack at the course. The day commenced at 8.30 and we finished up at around two-thirty.

Lunch was a fulsome banquet fit for medieval royalty, with fruit platters, salad platters, cold meat, sandwiches and homemade quiches, sweet custard tarts and an assortment of other yummy dishes – too many to list! An impromptu meeting as we munched our lunch served to sort out our shirt sizes, next meet and nut out where we are at as a club and where we are headed.

Our enormous thanks to Kerry Balmer-Smith who hosted the day on her lovely property ‘Kevarty Oaks’ in Wybong, and to her and her team of helpers who put in the tremendous effort required to set up the course; an excellent job, really well done and much appreciated by all who participated. Also a big handshake to all available hands helping to pack-up, which made for an easy and pleasant end of day.

Overall it was a successful, informative and fabulously fun day which we are all keen to repeat again in the very near future!
